About Me

Hi, I'm Matt Hodges – a Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Engineer with over 5 years of experience in managing and automating complex hosting infrastructures. I work across both customer-facing and internal systems, ensuring performance, reliabiliy, and security at every level.

In my current role, I:

• Deliver L3 technical support for escalated incidents across bare metal, VPS, and cloud platforms.
• Maintain and monitor Linux infrastructure for critical production and customer environments.
• Automate operational tasks and configuration changes using tools like Ansible and StackStorm.
• Troubleshoot networking issues, firewalls, and service disruptions.
• Collaborate with global teams to implement infrastructure changes and meet strict SLAs.

My work directly supports high-availability hosting environments for a wide range of clients; from startups to enterprise. I'm focused on uptime, performance, and long-term reliability.

Outside of my day-to-day, I’m always building on my skills - experimenting with automation, version control, and infrastructure as code to stay ahead in this fast-moving space.
